Introduction
Purpose and Scope
Blueprint is a Knowledge Management System designed primarily for law firms. It enables the curation of a segregated data set of key knowledge documents from across the firm. Lawyers can collect and share their broad and specific knowledge, including precedents and templates related to various legal topics, through Blueprint.
By curating and sharing knowledge through Blueprint our clients can easily ascertain key themes, precedents and templates from across their business and use this to drive efficiency and improve outcomes for their customers.
The Blueprint application is intended for anyone within a firm who interacts with knowledge and whilst not limited these are some examples:
Knowledge Managers - A Knowledge Management (KM) manager in a law firm is responsible for overseeing the processes of capturing, organising, and sharing the firm’s collective knowledge.
Professional support lawyers (PSL’s) - The professional support lawyer role, also known as Knowledge Lawyer role, is a non-client facing role to provide complex problem solving, research, training, and market positioning within a given practice area in support of fee-earning lawyers.
Partners - A partner is a senior lawyer who owns a share of the law firm and often has significant influence over its operations.
Associates - An associate is a junior lawyer who works under the supervision of partners and senior associates. They handle a variety of tasks, including legal research, drafting documents, and assisting in court proceedings, with the goal of eventually becoming a partner.
