Document Security

IN PROGRESS

Timeline

This feature is targeted for December 2025

Feature Overview

The Document Security feature for Blueprint enhances the knowledge management platform by introducing configurable and robust security controls to manage access to sensitive documents.

While Blueprint is designed to facilitate knowledge sharing across an organisation, this feature addresses the need to restrict access to specific documents or document sets based on factors such as conflict of interest, departmental relevance, or regulatory requirements.

By integrating with iManage Security Policy Manager (SPM) and implementing access controls at both the practice group and document levels, this feature ensures secure and selective knowledge sharing without compromising usability.

Key Objective

Provide clients with configurable document security controls within Blueprint to restrict access to sensitive knowledge documents, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining seamless access for authorised users.

Core Benefits

  • Granular Access Control: Enables clients to restrict document access at the practice group or individual document level, ensuring sensitive knowledge is shared only with authorised practice areas or individuals.

  • Seamless iManage Integration: Leverages iManage SPM to enforce security policies, streamlining compliance with existing enterprise security frameworks.

  • Conflict of Interest Protection: Automatically rejects documents subject to ethical or legal barriers during nomination, preventing unauthorised access from the outset.

  • Configurable Security: Offers flexible settings to balance security needs with ease of use, ensuring the feature is effective without being overly restrictive.

  • Compliance and Relevance: Supports organisational and regulatory requirements by limiting document visibility based on relevance, sensitivity, or compliance needs, enhancing trust in the platform.
